Enbridge ads claim it has a 99.999% record on pipeline safety.

On the surface, this may sound good. But when we think about what this means, it is really very bad, (even if we were to believe Enbridge’s propaganda-driven numbers).

They are saying that “only” .001% of their pipelines fail. So, according to Enbridge itself, every 100 kilometres of pipeline will fail for 10 meters – the very lengths of failed pipeline that created Enbridge’s latest disasters in Michigan and Wisconsin.
