It isn’t everyday that business and labor leaders see eye-to-eye on an important issue. But when electrical workers staff up to build a project that has been endorsed by the largest Chamber of Commerce in New Hampshire you know that something special is going on.

But don’t tell that to the Northern Pass opposition.

Like a chameleon, the Northern Pass opposition keeps changing its color. When alarmist rhetoric and divisive politics failed to thwart the project, opposition leaders shrewdly latched onto the “property rights” debate. So naturally, when House Bill 648 took eminent domain off the table, opponents truly believed that they had won victory for their allies in the natural gas and oil industry.
